Marshmallow Slice Recipe

INGREDIENTS

  • 3 weet bix, crushed (you can also try your favorite crushed biscuits, Grahams, Broas etc.)
  • 1 cup coconut
  • 1 cup self raising flour
  • 1/2 cup margarine

Marshmallow Topping:

  • 1 cup sugar
  • 3/4 cup water
  • 1 dessert spoon gelatin

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Melt margarine & pour over dry ingredients
  2. Place in a flat tin
  3. Bake in a 350 degrees F / 177 degrees C / Gas 4 Moderate.
  4. Oven for 20-25 minutes
  5. Allow to cool

To Make the Marshmallow topping:

  1. In a saucepan bring all ingredients to boil for 2 minutes
  2. Cool slightly
  3. When warm, whip mixture until of honey consistency.
  4. Pour over the biscuit mixture
  5. Do not cut until cold
