More than just its 7107 islands, starry night sky in the Philippines, and the hundreds of mountains and reefs. The Philippines is much more than a tourist destination, and much more than a country. For me, the Philippines is a feeling; a feeling of being sound even if you may be in an uncharted island in the middle of nowhere. A feeling of being warm despite being high above a cold mountain top. A feeling of being secured even if you are in the middle of an isolated forest. A feeling of being safe amidst the rubbing of an active volcano. A feeling of being comfortable even if you are surrounded by locals and people who you do not share the same language with. For me the Philippines is a family; a home, because in reality, home is not a place but a feeling.
