Sinabawang Tanigue (Broth Spanish Mackerel)

Tanique also known as Spanish Mackerel, King Fish, Seer Fish

INGREDIENTS

  • 1/4 kg tanigue
  • 3-4 cups water
  • 2 thumb sized ginger, sliced thinly
  • 1 onion quartered
  • 2 pcs tomato quartered
  • 1 pc siling sigang (long chili)
  • 1 stalk scallion or spring onion, sliced diagonally
  • 1/2- 1tbsp salt
  • A pinch of powdered seasoning (optional)

PROCEDURE

  1. Boil water, add in ginger, tomato, onion and salt and ( powdered seasoning)..Simmer for 5 minutes.
  2. Add tanigue and simmer 5 -8 minutes.
  3. Add in siling sigang (long chili) and scallion or spring onion and cook for another 2 minutes..
