INGREDIENTS
- Ripe mango – 1, medium size, peel, puree the pulp and chill
- Tea leaves – 2 tsps
- Water – 1 lt or 4 cups
- Lemon juice – 1 tbsp
- Sugar – 4-5 tbsps, adjust
- Mint leaves – for garnish
- Ripe mango cubes for garnish – few (optional)
- Ice Cubes – 10-12
METHOD
- Bring water to a boil, reduce flame and add the tea leaves. Allow to simmer for a mt. Turn off flame, add sugar and allow to dissolve. Let the brewed black tea come to room temperature.
- Strain the black tea into a large pitcher or jug. Add lemon juice and chilled mango puree and mix well. Add mint leaves and allow the flavors to meld.
- Pour the mango tea into glasses, add ice cubes. Garnish with ripe mango cubes and serve immediately.
Tips:
You can adjust the quantity of mango puree according to taste.
Sugar can be adjusted according the the sweetness of the mango.
